Sync Setup

To create an object and store the survey responses, you have to run and activate the sync setup. The sync setup creates a new object with the name of the object specified in the sync mapping process and it creates a record to store the survey response.

When the sync status is active and the sync setup is run, the mapping will create an object, which is represented by the mapping object name and the object will take all the responses of the mapping object. It's important to keep in mind that before running the sync setup, you need to map the survey with the object, and before storing the response, the user needs to attend the survey. If the sync status is inactive, running the sync setup will only create the object but not store the responses. To store the survey responses, the sync mapping status should be active.

Please note that this process requires appropriate permissions, and it's important to check with your Salesforce administrator before proceeding with the steps. It's also important to verify that the object and the fields were created correctly and that the data is being synced and stored correctly to avoid errors.

Activate/Inactivate sync status

Follow these steps to set the status. 

1. Click on the sync mapping section of the survey.

2. Activate/ Deactivate sync status.

3. Click the save mapping button.

Note:

• Before running the sync setup, you need to map the survey with the object. 

• Before storing the response, the user needs to attend the survey.

• If the sync status is inactive, at the run of sync setup response will not store in create an object. To store the survey response sync mapping status should be active.

Run sync setup

Follow these steps to run the sync setup

1. Click on the sync mapping section of the survey.

2. Activate sync status.

3. Click the sync now button.

4. Click the save mapping button.

Note:

• If the sync status is active and you will run the sync setup then the object will be created with all response records.

• If the sync status is inactive and you will run the sync setup then only the object will be created. Response record will not show on the side of the object.
