What changed in each InPoll release.

Version 0.42.0.2 (Built-in Einstein AI) - current

30 October 2026

  • Optional AI survey drafting and sentiment analysis are built in. They use Salesforce Einstein Prompt Builder and stay off until an administrator sets them up.
  • The retired OpenAI integration has been removed.
  • Reports include archived surveys, and the PDF export lists every question.
  • Survey links emailed before version 0.40 now show "This survey link has expired". Send a new invitation to collect those responses.
  • Security and reliability fixes in the survey builder, public survey pages and invitations.
  • Core surveys remain free and do not require an external AI account or API key.

Version 0.40.0 (Native surveys)

October 2026

  • Send surveys with the Send InPoll Survey Flow action, or configure and activate a copy of the packaged Case-closure Flow template.
  • Personal invitations link responses to supplied or resolved customer and related records. Each personal link can be answered once; public-link answers are anonymous.
  • Relevant scores are stored for surveys with supported CSAT or NPS rating questions. Ready-made reports cover scores, Case survey responses and invitation response rate.
  • Write answers back to Salesforce: create a record, update the record the survey was about, or update the person who answered.
  • Share a survey with a link or a QR code, or email personal invitations and see who opened and who answered.
  • Guided set-up of the survey site in InPoll Settings.
  • Clearer analytics and dashboard. The survey page is lighter and works on phones, with the keyboard and with screen readers.
  • Core survey sending no longer requires the retired hosted application or its connected-app setup.
  • Several security fixes to the public survey page and to write-back.

Version 0.39.0 (Free edition)

October 2026

  • InPoll became free, with no paid tier or InPoll-imposed survey and response caps. Salesforce platform limits still apply.
  • Historical AI setup instructions have been retired. Check the AI availability guide for your installed version; core surveys do not require AI.
  • Security fix: anonymous visitors to a survey site could open admin pages. They no longer can.
  • Dashboard fix.
  • Date fixes.
