Delete a survey

Use this guide to delete a draft survey you no longer need. For survey creators.

You can delete only surveys in Draft status. Published and archived surveys are protected, so that important data is not removed by accident.

Deleting is final. A deleted survey disappears from InPoll and you cannot restore it. Draft surveys normally have no responses or analytics data, so you do not need to export anything first.

Delete a survey from its left panel

1. Open InPoll and go to the Surveys tab.
2. Select the draft survey you want to delete.
3. In the panel on the left, click Delete Survey.

4. In the Confirm message "Are you sure you want to delete this survey ?", click OK if you are sure.

InPoll shows a success message and returns you to the survey list.

Delete a survey from the survey list

1. Open InPoll and go to the Surveys tab.
2. Find the draft survey you want to delete.
3. On the right side of the survey, open the Show More menu (the down arrow).
4. Select Delete.

5. In the Confirm message, click OK if you are sure.

Good to know

• The Delete options do not appear for published or archived surveys.
• Once a survey is deleted, you cannot restore it. Check the deletion carefully before you click OK.
