Introduction to InPoll setup

Last updated: 16 Oct 2026

Use this guide to see what to set up in your Salesforce org before you build and send InPoll surveys. For admins.

What to set up

InPoll runs inside your Salesforce org. Setup takes three steps:

  1. Install InPoll.
  2. Give admins access to InPoll by assigning the InPoll Admin Permissions permission set.
  3. Set up the survey site in InPoll Settings. This free site lets people without a Salesforce license answer your surveys. A guided setup walks you through it in about five minutes.

After that, you can create and send surveys. You do not need anything else outside Salesforce.

Send surveys

Send a survey from its Send screen: copy the public link, download a QR code, or email personal invitations and see who opened and who answered. To send automatically, add the action Send InPoll Survey to any Flow. A ready-made flow, InPoll: Survey when a Case closes, emails the customer when their Case closes.

Store answers in Salesforce

Each answer from a personal invitation links to the Contact, Lead or User, the Case and the Account it came from. CSAT and NPS scores are saved on every response, with ready-made reports in the folder InPoll Reports.

Response Mapping writes answers back to Salesforce. You choose one of three things: create a record, update the record the survey was about, or update the person who answered.
