Format a survey question

Use this guide to format question text with the rich text editor, for example bold, italic, or a different font. For survey creators.

Format question text

1. On the Surveys tab, click the survey to open it in the builder.
2. Click the Questions tab.
3. Click Add New Question. Or click Actions on an existing question, then Edit.
4. Turn on RichTextArea, next to the question box.
5. Enter the question text. Use the toolbar to change the font and size, to make text bold, italic, underlined or struck through, and to add lists and indents.

6. Click Done.

What you can format

Rich text formatting is available for the question text. You can format a single character, a sentence or the whole question.

Good to know

• Click the Preview tab to check how the formatting looks. Preview does not record responses.
• You can't change questions in a published survey that already has responses.
