Require an Answer to This Question

Last Modify:

11 Jun 2024

The option of making a question mandatory in a survey means that the respondent must provide an answer before they are able to submit the survey. This is typically indicated by an asterisk (*) next to the question. An error message can be set to display if the question is not answered, which can be useful to remind the respondent to provide an answer. This error message will appear when the option "Display this error message when this question is not answered" is selected. This can be a useful tool to ensure that all important questions are answered and to prevent incomplete surveys from being submitted.

To require an answer to a question in a survey using the feature, you can follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Survey builder.

  2. Add or edit a question.

  3. Click on the Advanced tab.

  4. Select the option to "Require an Answer to This Question."

  5. Customize the error message, if desired.

  6. Click "Save" to save the changes.
