Use this guide to add several questions at once by pasting them into the survey builder. For survey creators.
Before you start
- Create a survey and open it in the builder. See Create a survey.
- The survey must be in Draft.
- Pasted questions become Multiple Choice or Short Answer questions only. You can change the type later.
Add questions in bulk
- In the builder, click the Questions tab.
- Click Copy and Paste Questions. It is next to the Add New Question button.
- In the Copy and Paste Questions window, enter your questions in the text box.
- Click Add Questions.
Format your questions
- For a multiple-choice question, enter the question text on its own line. Enter each answer choice on its own line directly below it.
- For a short answer question, enter the question text on its own line, with no answer choices.
- Press Enter twice to start a new question. Leave a blank line between questions.
- Do not enter the same answer choice twice in one question.
After you add the questions
Continue setting up your survey. You can edit any question you added, switch its question type, change the survey title, add rich text formatting, and more.
